BlackBerry version of the Genii Lotusphere 2009 Sessions database now available

Once again this year you can download our free BlackBerry version of Genii's Lotusphere 2009 Sessions database.

To download simply browse on your BlackBerry to http://lotusphere.turtleweb.com/bb

After you install the app just click on "Load Data" to get all the Sessions info.

The Sessions database does have a few gaps left as certain times are finalised. However you can fill them in after you install - just choose "Load Data' again from the app main menu anytime to get an update directly from the Sessions database itself.

Besides the ability to add sessions to your Calendar on the BlackBerry we have also included Genii's 'Feedback' form this year. This allows you to post questions and comments in response to a Session.

2 - I successfully downloaded and installed this app on my Bold. The like selected to "Load Data" and it just sits there with a "Loading Day 1..." prompt. Any advice to offer would be appreciated.

3 - Eric,

I'm wondering if you have a BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) Connection.

You might want to investigate this page and the TCP settings on your device:

Alternatively search Google for BIS and TCP.

I'm BES myself so I can't offer a whole lot of help. If in doubt speak to your carrier who should be able to provide the correct settings.

6 - I downloaded the session database to my brand new Blackberry Bold. Great job, will come in very handy! But I haven't found where I add a session to my calendar in the Blackberry. Any hint?

Glad you like the session db and hope its useful for you.

As luck would have it I have just been adding sessions to my own Bold - just select the session you want to add, click the trackball to get the menu, select "Display Details". When the details come up click the trackball again to get "Add to Calendar" on the menu and then select. The session you picked should appear in your calendar.
