It's been a very busy weekend for Declan Lynch and I.  We have been collaborating in the wee small hours* to bring you a new release of BlogSphere and BBMetaBlog.

On the BlogSphere side Declan has improved the MetaWebLog support and RSS feeds.  On top of all the existing good stuff BlogSphere 3 Beta 8a now supports:
  • Multi-user remote blogging (share a blog with friends and colleagues and post remotely using your own user account);
  • Categories (will respect the category information in the remote post);
  • Accepting location information along with the remote post;
  • Improved RSS feeds

On the BBMetaBlog side version 1.2.2 (Beta) now supports:
  • Location information for Blog entries (and remembers your last location);
  • Enhanced category support (Multiple categories);
  • A couple of UI enhancements
  • Some additional error handling

If you'd like to get hold of either release here are the URL's:

On a personal note I am preparing to switch my blog to BlogSphere, it's so much more flexible that my current GoDaddy blog and looks a million times better.  And of course there's the prospect of being able to blog from anywhere!

* Actually the hours might have been a bit more wee on my side of the Atlantic but I wouldn't bet on it
